Our Story

Pelham Consulting was established in 2001 to provide policy research and support to senior managers in business and public services. Managing Director, Nick Paget-Brown is a graduate in politics, has stood as a Parliamentary candidate, and until 2017, was Leader of a major London Borough having served as a Councillor since 1986.

With previous senior management experience in international marketing at Reuters and Knight-Ridder, he has also contributed to a number of policy think tanks including the Bow Group, a panel on Local Government advising John Major and the “Quality of Life” Group which developed the 2010 Conservative Environment Manifesto. In addition, he was an informal adviser to a number of Conservative Environment spokespeople when in opposition.

He has served on London Council’s Transport and Environment Committee, the Thames Regional Flood and Coastal Committee and was appointed as a Board Member of the London Waste and Recycling Board (2012-2018) by the Mayor of London. In 2015 – 16 he chaired Central London Forward, a grouping of central London local authorities looking to support and develop businesses and skills in London.
