UK PARTY MANIFESTO & POLICY TRACKER 2017-2022
- The UK is one of the world’s key trading nations
- It has global business, diplomatic and financial interests
- It is a large recipient of inward investment
- The City of London is the world’s leading financial center
It is currently undergoing a period of unparalleled political turbulence. The EU referendum of June 2016 followed by General Election of June 2017 has resulted in a Government without an overall Parliamentary majority seeking to negotiate Britain’s departure from the European Union.
As the country seeks to establish itself in a world beyond the EU, the only certainty is that unpredictability will characterise political and policy development for the foreseeable future.
Therefore any organisation dealing with UK Government departments directly, briefing clients or preparing for future regulatory changes needs a comprehensive insight into the policy priorities of each of the political parties. Seldom has there been a greater divergence in key policies and alternative governments will have very different priorities.
Each has a very different view of Britain’s role in the world.
That is why Pelham Consulting’s UK Party Manifesto and Policy Tracker is an essential tool for all organisations that need to understand the full range of Government policies and the potential alternatives to them.
This electronic report provides a unique toolkit enabling users to identify, through simple key words, all the relevant manifesto pledges of each of the parties in a given area. This ensures that users are up-to-date with every key actual or proposed policy relevant to their areas of interest.
The tracker brings together all the manifesto pledges made by each of the parties at the 2017 election. There were more than 1400. A few are illustrated on the attached sample extract. The 94 page report classifies each policy by subject matter, indicates the Government Department responsible for implementation and, for the Government, shows the current status of delivering on each pledge and what progress has been made to date.
An additional Tracker of NEW policy announcements made by the parties since the 2017 General Election is also available.
